The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the global dynamics of the world alike. In these unprecedented times, health is not something to be treated lightly, and so we at Prime dentistry like always have adopted aggressively the best health and safety practices that we believe will go beyond the anticipated protocols for patient-centric cumulative dentistry. We hope our patients, the families of our patients, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are all well and have remained safe through the patch. As a community, we have endured a lot over the past few months, and as we get back to our new normal now, we look forward to welcoming you to our office. Our office practice is open as we are closely monitoring, have implemented, and abide by all the precautionary measures, recommendations, and protocols laid out by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) to protect the health of our patients and employees.
Effective Prime Dentistry COVID-19 Protocols:
Infection Control
- Mandatory mask entry for a visit.
- Use of hand sanitizer upon entering the office.
- Practice social distancing.
- Mandatory PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) worn by all staff members.
- Daily health and temperature screening for all prime dentistry employees and staff members conducted.
Scheduling
- COVID-19 exposure screening or pre-visit health check on the phone by staff before your appointment about recent travel history or and symptoms check.
- Reschedule if someone from the household has been sick within 14 days of the scheduled visit.
- Staggered appointments allotted with more time between each patient to avoid crowding and have time for repeated sanitization and disinfection of the lobby and dentist’s office.
- Avoid, unnecessary company, or guests along.
Arrival
- Limit company to add 1 person only that too if necessary for adequate social distancing in the waiting area.
- A thorough review of COVID-19 exposure screen in person by staff.
- Temperature check to be recorded for each patient along with the patient companion (guardian, spouse, relative, nurse, etc.).
- Recommended that you call from the car so that we call you when we’re ready to take you straight to the patient room without having to wait
- Hand sanitizing and mas is available and required upon arrival.
Treatment
- Patients will be provided with a microbial and antibacterial mouth rinse before any treatments.
- For the time being dental hygiene treatments will not include any ultrasound treatments as per Nevada Dental Board and Nevada Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.
- Clinical equipment’s and instruments will either be single-use or rigorously, medically sanitized, and sterilized.
- Relentless and standardized sanitization of dental chairs, waiting room, restrooms, and front office after each patient visit.
Checkout
- Patients to leave the patient room as they entered i.e. in masks and after thorough hand sanitization.
- Observe mindful social distancing if the lobby has more patients waiting.
- Patients are requested to manage payment for the visit over the phone or provide a credit card before the visit and if insurance related to discuss the same at the time of appointment booking to facilitate a quick checkout. (Pre-written checks at home would be appreciated)
Each of our employees have received supervised training in all the protocols and procedures and is positive to abide and adhere to them at all times.
